Domino's Pizza UK iPhone App Progress Report

Domino's Pizza UK have posted this video about their new iPhone App. You can download it from the App store and use it to place an order for delivery or collection from your local branch of Domino's Pizza.

It has some very fancy graphics, without forgetting the main purpose of the App, which is to order pizza, and is very intuitive to use.

It features Meal Deals, Halfie halfies and if you are unsure of what to choose there is even the option to randomly generate a 3 topping pizza. When I tried this out I had to politely decline the suggestion of Anchovy, Birdseye Chillis and Chorizo :-)

I like the way it remembers previous coupon codes so that you can use them again and again, and also the way it pretty much simulates the experience you get from the full-blown website.

We'd love to know what you think?

Read a lot of negative reviews, mainly to do with the app crashing, but I thought I'd download it anyway, being a huge Dominos fan.

Haven't actually ordered yet, and that'll be the real test, but on first impressions I'm impressed. It looks good and is easy to navigate, and unlike the online ordering the specific store deals are all there.

I will be having pizza tonight methinks.

Thanks for the comment.
See the post above for more detailed info and an instructional video. Most apps get launched with bugs in them, which only become apparent when tested in field conditions.
The developers are working to iron these out right now.
One of the main problems appeears to be in the Meal Deal section when you come to choose a drink so be wary of that one.
I think that this app will be one of the best ones out there very very soon.

The Domino's pizza app has been removed from the UK iTunes store due to problems with it. Rather embarassing for Domino's!

theJon5,
thanks for the heads up. I have just spoken with my contact at Domino's. The App has been temporarily withdrawn due to issues over the GPS location software. These issues were resolved pretty swiftly, but the whole App has had to be re-submitted back to Apple for authorisation.
They hope to have it back online within a few days.
Thanks again for allowing to find out the latest position on this.
