Ohio Man Accused of Using Poor Pizza Etiquette

Harrison 17/12/07
An Ohio man was seeing blue after his demand for great service led to the Anderson City Police delivering feedback from Papa John’s Pizza.

Police declined to make an arrest after confronting Michael Groves, 35, about 9:30 p.m. Sunday at the Mainstay Suites on Civic Center Boulevard.

Mr. Groves, who is working with a construction crew, told a pizza clerk that “he wanted a pizza delivered and that there had better not be anything wrong with his pizza order when it arrived or something was going to get blown up,” according to Officer Wes Barnes’ report.

“We found (Mr. Groves) to be extremely intoxicated to the point that he thought we were delivering his pizza, and he tried to hand me a $20 bill when he answered the door to pay for his pizza.”
